On Monday, Vicky Kaushal revealed the first-ever teaser of the biographical film, ‘Sardar Udham.’ Now, on the birth anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, the makers of the movie released yet another teaser of the movie. The teaser promises a compelling thriller drama.

The film is about Udham Singh, a revolutionary freedom fighter best known for assassinating Michael O’Dwyer in London to take revenge for the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre in Amritsar. It is directed by Shoojit Sircar and produced by Rising Sun Films in collaboration with Kino Works and backed by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar.

Sharing the teaser on his social media, the ‘URI’ actor captioned it as: “His name etched in our history, his mission shook the entire nation. It’s an incredible honour to step into the shoes of Sardar Udham Singh. Watch #SardarUdhamOnPrime, Oct 16 @primevideoin #SardarUdham”
‘SardarUdham’ was shot in Russia, UK, Ireland, Germany and North India. The cast also includes names such as Shaun Scott, Stephen Hogan, Banita Sandhu, Kirsty Averton, and Amol Parashar, among others. This is the first time Vicky Kaushal and director Shoojit Sircar will be collaborating.
The movie was earlier scheduled to release in the theatres in 2020 and then later in January 2021 but was postponed due to the pandemic. Now, it will premiere on 16 October 2021 on Amazon Prime Videos.
