Shawn Mendes, 22, and Camila Cabello, 24, first set off dating rumors with the release of their single ‘Señorita’ in June 2019. Soon after, they began a whirlwind romance that included posting a now-infamous viral kissing video and two steamy onstage performances. Mendes and Cabello spent much of 2020 quarantining in her native Miami, Florida after the coronavirus pandemic began in North America last March. The duo also got a new golden retriever pup, Tarzan.
However, their relationship has sparked controversy, as both were accused of attempting to form a relationship for publicity, but Mendes insisted it is “definitely not a publicity stunt”.
