Salman Khan’s bodyguard Gurmeet Singh Jolly or Shera has been working for the actor for 26 years. He is always seen with the ‘Kick’ actor, be it family functions, outings, or shooting. Shera always accompanies the Bollywood superstar and addresses the actor as ‘Maalik.’ Now, in an interview, Shera recalled the time he met the actor for the first time.

Shera told YouTube channel Viral Bollywood in Hindi said that he first met Salman Khan when he was handling security for Whigfield’s show, who is a Hollywood singer, who flew down to India. Later, he met Salman again when Keanu Reeves, the Hollywood hero, had come to India. Speed had released and Matrix was about to release. Shera did his first show with Salman in Chandigarh, and they have been together ever since.

Salman Khan also dedicated his 2011 film, ‘Bodyguard’ to Shera. Reacting to it, he said, “Who else has ever done such a thing for his bodyguard in the industry? I am like a horse decked up at a wedding to carry the groom. I am only concerned about my Maalik (Salman) and wherever he goes, I am there. I am his Yes Man. Till date, whatever Maalik has asked, I’ve done. That is why I am a part of Maalik’s family,” Shera said, in an interview with Indian Express in 2016.
Shera also revealed that the ‘Dabangg’ actor will be launching his son, and an announcement will be made soon once the lockdown pandemic situation ends.
