Superstar Shah Rukh Khan and his NGO Meer Foundation have donated 500 Remdesivir injections for Covid-19 patients in Delhi. Delhi’s Health Minister Satyendar Jain took to his Twitter handle and thanked the Badshah and his foundation for the helpful gesture during the time of need.

Satyendar Jain tweeted, “We are extremely thankful to Sh. @iamsrk and @MeerFoundation for donating 500 Remdesivir injections at a time when it was needed the most. we are much obliged for the support extended by you during the time of crisis.

Meer foundation is an NGO run by King Khan and it has been providing materials including PPE kits, injections to the people in need. The foundation soon responded to the minister’s tweet and wrote,

This is not the first time Shah Rukh Khan has donated for the fight against Covid-19. In April, his companies – Kolkata Knight Riders, Red Chillies Entertainment, Meer Foundation and Red Chillies VFX – contributed to a number of relief funds. They also donated for the PM-Cares Fund and Maharashtra Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, among others.

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will reportedly be seen in YRF’s Pathan next. The movie also features Deepika Padukone and John Abraham.
