Suresh Raina’s Uncle Passed Away And Aunt Is Serious Post An Attack: Reports

According to several media reports, Suresh Raina’s uncle passes away and his aunt is in critical condition post a midnight attack that took place at his house in Pathankot’s Thariyal village. Apparently on August 19, some unidentified assailants attacked them with weapons when the family members were sleeping on terrace.

The CSK CEO KS Viswanathan was earlier this week quoted as saying in the tweet posted by the franchise that, “Suresh Raina has returned to India for personal reasons and will be unavailable for the remainder of the IPL season. Chennai Super Kings offers complete support to Suresh and his family during this time.” Now as per a report by Jagran.com, Raina’s relative is in critical condition while his uncle passed away after a midnight attack in their Pathankot’s Thariyal village house.

Reportedly, Asha Devi, sister of Raina’s father is currently in a critical health condition. While his uncle, identified as 58-year-old Ashok Kumar breathed his last post the attack. Two of his cousins have reportedly attained some injuries due to the violent attack.

The cricketer is yet to give an official statement on the heartbreaking incident.
