‘Thappad’ actress Taapsee Pannu talks about violence on Bigg Boss 13
Taapsee Pannu has opened up about the violence shown in Bigg Boss and how people should not enjoy.
The trailer of Thappad was recently released and the trailer shows, Taapsee Pannu playing Amrita who is seeking a divorce after her partner (Pavail Gulati) slaps her in front of everyone at a party. Everyone asks her to forgive her husband but Amu doesn’t listen to anyone and now in an interview, Taapsee has opened up about the violence shown Bigg Boss 13.
Talking to Bollywood Life, the ‘Pink’ actress questioned the viewers for enjoying the violence, “Why are people enjoying this kind of violence? It’s not fun. If it happens to us, we don’t find it to be fun. It’s entertainment for us only if it happens to others. So, we need to turn the tables and see what if we were standing there and it was happening to us.” she said.
Further continuing, Taapsee said, “Then only will our opinions start changing. It’ll take a long time, but someone has to start doing it, you know. I just can’t leave it just because the masses are actually following something that is against my beliefs. That doesn’t mean I won’t put my beliefs out there.”
Apart from Taapsee, the movie also stars Ratna Pathak Shah, Manav Kaul, Dia Mirza, and Tanvi Azmi among others. ‘Thappad’ slated to hit the theatres on February 28, 2020.
Apart from ‘Thappad’, the actress will also be seen in ‘Shabaash Mithu’ where she will be seen essaying the role of India’s Women Cricket team captain Mithali Raj. She will also star in ‘Haseen Dilruba’ alongside ‘Chhapaak’ actor Vikrant Massey.
