After the brief shootout, the terrorists have managed to escape from the house but, locals alleged that no terrorist was hiding in the house. The son of house-owner was also killed during the operation.
In a third encounter, the security forces engaged three terrorists trapped in a religious place at Chadoora in Budgam district, 28 km from Srinagar. The police said the terrorists took shelter in the religious place after they fled from a house where they had been hiding.
