South actor Vijay Sethupathi celebrates his 43rd birthday on January 16, 2020. He is known as one of the biggest superstars in the industry. He works predominantly in Tamil besides few Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi productions. Vijay Sethupathi’s first movie ‘Thenmerku Paruvakaatru’, written and directed by Seenu Ramasamy won three National Film Awards.

Before starting his career he joined a theatre, Koothu Patrai, as an accountant. Later, he gradually took interest in acting.

Vijay Sethupathi has 2 kids- Surya and Shreeja. Reportedly, he kept the name of his son in the remembrance of his school friend, who passed away during their school days.

He has starred in more than 30 films including several successful ventures. He has won numerous awards, including two Filmfare Awards South and three Vijay Awards.

Besides acting, he has also produced three movies namely ‘Orange Mittai’, ‘Junga’, and ‘Merku Thodarchi Malai.’

Vijay Sethupathi was a below-average student. He always had an interest in acting ever since he was a child.

Due to his financial issues, he went to Dubai in search of a job and also for a better lifestyle.

He has also worked in a TV show called ‘Penn’ in 2006 which aired for around 195 episodes.

While Vijay stayed in Dubai, he met a woman named Jessie, and they two dated before getting married in 2003.

Sethupathi is an atheist and has often shared his views in his speeches.
