The year 2020 left the world reeling, it has been the darkest year in human history. A tough year for people around the globe who had to face the new coronavirus, natural disasters and loss of many popular celebrities. The COVID-19 Pandemic has affected the lives of many as many lost their battle with the nouvelle virus. The Worst hit was the Entertainment Industry. Bollywood, Hollywood and South Industry that lost a number of iconic celebs this year. Some passed away due to COVID-19 some due to Cancer and some lost their will to live.

Celebrities like Sushant Singh Rajput, Irrfan Khan, SP Balasubrahmanyam, Rishi Kapoor, Chadwick Boseman to Nishikant Kamat, Saroj Khan, and Chiranjeevi Sarja. They all left behind a void that is impossible to be filled by anyone.

Here is a list of all the stars who passed away this year but will remain in our heart forever:

1. Irrfan Khan:

Actor Irrfan Khan breathed his last on April 29. The 54-year-old had been battling neuroendocrine tumour for several years. He passed away due to colon infection. The actor was last seen in Angrezi Medium.  Tomar” and “Qissa”.

2. Rishi Kapoor:

Rishi Kapoor was diagnosed with cancer in 2018. The versatile actor was in New York for nearly a year to undergo treatment. He returned to India in September 2019. But he ultimately passed always on April 30. He was 67. v

3. Sushant Singh Rajput:

SSR was found dead at his Mumbai home on June 14, It was initially thought that he died by suicide, but a probe into his death is still on. He was 34. The actor who won hearts with his charming smile and acting skills was seen last in ‘Dil Bechara”.

4. Chadwick Boseman:

T’Challa from Black Panther left for his heavenly abode after losing his battle with colon cancer. He died on August 28. at the age of 43. His final film “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom” will be available to stream on December 18.

5. Saroj Khan:

The ace choreographer who called the shots in over 2000 songs spanning over three and a half decades passed away after a cardiac arrest on July 2. She was 71.

6. Astad Deboo:

Contemporary Indian dancer Astad Deboo was suffering from lymphoma, a type of blood cancer. He passed away on December 10. Deboo was known for his fusion of Indian and western dance techniques.

7. Sean Connery:

The legendary actor who played the role of super-spy James Bond with Panache passed away at the age of 90 on October 31. Connery had an acting career spanning nearly five decades.

8. SP Balasubrahmanyam:

Famous playback singer and Padma awardee SPB or Balu was a renowned name in the musical world. He had recorded over 40,000 songs in 16 languages over a period of five decades. He died on September 25 in Chennai due to Covid-19.

9. Nishikant Kamat:

Nishikant Kamat was battling liver cirrhosis for the past two years. He breathed his last in a Hyderabad hospital on August 17. He was 50 years old.

10.Kirk Douglas:

The legendary actor passed away at the age of 103 on February 5. He starred in about 90 films and TV series in a career spanning over 60 years.

11. Basu Chatterjee:

The legendary filmmaker passed away at 93 owing to age-related ailments on June 4.  He is best known for films like ‘Rajnigandha’, ‘Khatta Meetha’, ‘Shaukeen’, ‘Chameli Ki Shaadi’and also his last venture ‘Gudgudee’.
