Madhya Pradesh: Congress leader’s minor nephew allegedly rapes 4-year-old

In a shocking case in Moradabad, a 4-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a minor boy who happens to be the nephew of a famed Congress leader. The girl was allegedly raped by the 15-year-old boy in a room in Uttar Pradesh.

On Thursday when the girl reached her home, she arrived in a tattered and disheveled state after which the incident came to light. She arrived at the accused’s house to play with some kittens took shelter there. That was when the boy saw his chance, led her to a room, forced himself upon her and allegedly raped her.

The Moradabad IG, Binod Kumar Singh, reported that the accused is a juvenile but they will “make sure that a strict action is taken against the accused”.

On noticing her disheveled appearance, her mother understood that she had been raped. The victim’s mother was threatened by the family of the accused with dire consequences if she dared to report the matter to police. The accused was then sent away to another place by his family.

The unflinching mother went ahead and filed a complaint against the accused. He was arrested a day later.

The incident has been reported a day after two girls were allegedly held captive and gang-raped for two days in Jharkhand’s Gumla before being rescued by the police on Thursday. Two boys, accused in the case, have been arrested by the police.

“The accused were known to one of our sisters. We also started talking to them through her. They kidnapped us and tortured us for two days and also threatened us when we resisted them,” one of the victims said.

Gumla Superintendent of Police, Anshuman Kumar told ANI, “As soon as we were informed that two girls were missing, we immediately formed a team, and rescued them. An investigation has been launched. Further proceedings will depend on the medical report of the victims.”
