Wolves made a solid start to the match with De Gea coming to the rescue on a couple of occasions- to deny Raul Jimenez and defender Ryan Bennett.
But it was the home team who grabbed the lead against the run of play with midfield general Paul Pogba set one up for Brazilian Fred to score his first goal for his United. The Brazilian midfielder found an opportunity to add one more to his United tally but failed to to do following a denial from Wolves’ custodian Rui Patricio.
Wolves finally had their reward levelled the score the 53rd minute when a curling finish from João Moutinho went past De Gea. United, much to the frustration of Jose Mourinho, failed to find a second and a potential winning goal as they now stand in the sixth position in the table with 10 points from the six games they’ve played.
The United gaffer, as quoted by BBC Sport  admitted that the result was, “fair” and added, “They (Wolves) were more aggressive, had more intent and were more motivated. I think the result is fair. They deserved their point and we deserve punishment for getting only one point.
