Actor Akshay Kumar tests positive for Covid-19, goes into home quarantine
After Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has tested positive for the coronavirus infection. The 53 -year-old actor took to social media to inform his fans. He said that he is at home in self-quarantine, following all the protocols.

Akshay Kumar tweeted, “I wish to inform everyone that, earlier this morning, I have tested positive for Covid-19. Following all the protocols I have immediately isolated myself. I am under home quarantine and have sought necessary medical care. I would sincerely request all those that have come in contact me get themselves tested and take care. Back in action soon!”

Akshay Kumar was in Ayodhya shooting for his upcoming film Ram Setu. The team had recently performed pooja for the same in Ayodhya. Pictures from the puja and the shoot are viral on social media.

The actor was shooting for the same with actresses Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha. Ram Setu is directed by Abhishek Sharma. Akshay will be essaying the role of an archaeologist in the film.
On the work front, Akshay Kumar also has Aanand L Rai’s Atrangi Re co-starring Sara Ali Khan and South superstar Dhanush. He will also be seen in Farhad Samji’s Bachchan Pandey, Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi and Ranjit Tiwari’s Bell Bottom in the pipeline.
