Bollywood actor, Ali Fazal shared the news of the passing away of his grandfather on social media today. He penned heartfelt lines remembering his late grandfather with whom he shared an extremely warm bond. He mentioned his late mother who passed away last year. The actress expressed his grief by posting few beautiful pictures with his grandfather.
Ali Fazal shared three pictures of his grandfather. And he captioned the post as, “He Fathered me. Took me in from when I can remember because my parents were living separate lives. So while my father was out somewhere in the middle east, it’s Nana who smothered me with love, took care of me. Along with Nani. Long story short. He passed away Raatko. Less than a year of his daughter-my mother leaving,” he wrote adding, “I suppose this is The Will. . So many are suffering across the country so we can too. Rightfully so. But it’s fkin broken me today…again. And as I bid him farewell, I say goodbye to another version of me again. In the quantum observatory, this is yet another of another heh.”
At the end of his heartfelt note, he shared how his grandfather wanted him to crack a joke at his funeral and not be morbid. Ali Fazal wrote further, “He wanted me to crack a joke on his funeral he had said once- “Koi lateefa sunaa dena, I don’t like morbid”. So today I left a small chit in the grave that said – “ Say cheese “. Was an inside joke – quite literally now. But yea. Gustaakhi maaf. I’ll post a few of his pics. It’s for my own archiving. It’s only cuz some of us don’t know how to deal with grief. Movie references don’t come in handy.”

For the unversed, Ali Fazal’s mother passed away last year on June 17 when she was in Lucknow. The actor had shared a picture of her mother and revealed the sad news to his fans on social media.
