Not Ram Charan or Jr NTR, Alia Bhatt’s Favourite Star Is THIS Telugu Actor

Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt is all set to make her South Indian film debut with SS Rajamouli’s RRR starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the lead roles. In a recent media interaction when Alia Bhatt was asked to name her favourite South Indian star, without thinking twice, she named Prabhas.

Fans were amazed to listen as they were expecting Alia Bhatt to name Jr  NTR or Ram Charan as she is sharing the screen space with them in RRR. Alia Bhatt was quoted as saying to Tollywood.net, “I like Prabhas a lot. His performance and screen presence in Baahubali series is awesome.”

She went on to reveal that she became a die-hard fan of Prabhas after watching his historical movie Baahubali.

It is to be noted that Shraddha Kapoor was not the first choice to star in Saaho opposite Prabhas. Prior to Shraddha, the makers of the film had approached Alia Bhatt to play his love interest in the action thriller.

According to reports, the Saaho team was quite excited to take Alia Bhatt on board for the film but considering the heroine has barely any scenes in the film in comparison to Prabhas, Alia turned down the offer to star in Saaho, reported Bollywoodlife.com.

“Alia is currently busy setting a league of her own by taking up some really good performance -oriented roles. So at a stage when she’s setting such a bright example as far as her film choices are concerned, she doesn’t want to break the chain by doing a film where she is more like a supporting cast. Even her family approved of her decision and have no regrets whatsoever,” a source had stated.

Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt has various projects in her kitty including Gangu Bhai Katiawadi, Sadak 2 and Brahmastra among others.
