As per a report in PTI, the federation complained that Bahrain’s Oluwakemi Adekoya had intentionally fell in the path of Hima during the baton exchange. It forced her to jump over and then continue her run, which further helped Bahrain in increasing the gap.

It was a clear obstruction and we have lodged a protest. It also caused a minor injury to Hima. It cost us some time. The jury is there is there to see what happened,” informed AFI president Adille Sumariwala to the news agency. He also confirmed that the jury will give its verdict by 8:30 am on the next day.
