Badhaai Ho trailer: This film starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra is a laugh riot
When it comes to choosing the most novel scripts, Ayushmann Khurrana easily picks the best ones. The singer-actor is back with yet another rib-tickling comedy Badhaai Ho, the trailer for which was unveiled on Tuesday.

Badhaai Ho trailer potrays Ayushmann as a man who is embarrassed by his parents’ active sex lives and the consequences of it. ‘What to expect when your mother is expecting’-is exactly how Ayushmann feels. With this film, Neena Gupta makes her comeback on the big screen. Neena plays the role of a woman who should ideally be playing with her grandchildren but gets pregnant when most women would have had menopause.
Gajraj Rao plays the role of the father of the child who is to come and is most embarrased while announcing the news to his family. The family gets really awkward on hearing the “good news”.
However, the most hilarious parts of the trailer are the dialogues. The old grandma played by Surekha Sikri says, ” “Ab sab samajh aa rahi, kyun bahu ka badan toota kare hai roj subah.” Ayushmann Khurrana, who is making love with his girlfriend, played by Sanya Malhotra pauses in between and says, “Tu hi bata yaar, ye bhi koi mummy papa ke karne ki cheez hai kya? (You tell me, is this a thing mummy papa should enjoy at their age?)”
Ayushmann spoke to Mumbai Mirror and said, “I often wonder if I attract such scripts or vice versa, but I am not complaining. I love these kind of stories, we need to present something unconventional as completely normal. The content can’t be vanilla anymore.”
The film brings out a completely different concept and in a small way normalises things which the society makes a mountain of.
The film is directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma and releases on October 19.
