‘Balika Vadhu’ is back with season 2, watch first TEASER
The makers of 'Balika Vadhu' recently dropped the first teaser of the show's second season. Watch.
On Sunday, the makers of the popular television show, ‘Balika Vadhu’ dropped the first teaser of the show’s second season. A sequel of the series was in production as of February 2021. Just like the first season, the second season of the show will yet again revolve around the evils of child marriage.

Sharing the first teaser, the official handle of Colors TV wrote: “Baal vivaah wo kupratha hai jo aaj bhi samaaj mein jeevit hai! Isko mitaane ke liye janm liya hai ek nayi Anandi, ek nayi Balika Vadhu ne. Balika Vadhu Season 2 jald hi aa raha hai sirf #Colors par. #BalikaVadhu2”
In the teaser, the video starts with a little girl walking who is dressed in traditional attire with her head covered in a dupatta and is seen enjoying her childhood days. Soon after, her mother says that they will have to find a ‘nanha rajkumar’ for her soon.
Meanwhile, as per reports in Indian Express, the lead characters of ‘Balika Vadhu 2’ are Shreya Patel of ‘Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha’ fame and ‘Balveer’ actor Vansh Sayani. The show is likely to go on air in August this year. However, an official confirmation is yet to be made.
The first season of ‘Balika Vadhu’ was set in rural Rajasthan and revolved around the life of a child bride, her struggles, and her journey. It featured Avika Gor, late Pratyusha Banerjee, Shashank Vyas, Avinash Mukherjee, Surekha Sikri, and many more. It also became the longest-running Indian television series on Colors TV.
