“We will win all 42 seats in 2019 Lok Sabha elections from West Bengal,” said the TMC supremo during her address at the party’s annual Martyr’s Day Rally in Kolkata. Trinamool Congress currently holds 34 Lok Sabha seats in West Bengal.

She also announced that TMC will launch a “BJP hatao, Desh Bajao” (remove BJP, save country) campaign with the help of opposition leaders on August 15. “They will see Bengal is ready,” she said

Not stopping there, the state and party chief accused BJP for the frequent mob lynchings  that is occurring across the country. “The way people are being lynched everywhere, I can see they are creating Talibanis among the people. In BJP & RSS, there are good people whom I respect but some are playing dirty games,” said Banerjee.

The Bengal CM also refused to see NDA’s victory in the no-trust motion as a reflection of their growing popularity and acceptance by the people. The ruling government negated the motion by winning over two-thirds majority of the votes, out the 451 members.

“That number was inside the house. Outside, in a democracy, they will not win,” said Mamata.

“Those who can’t make a pandal, want to build a country?” she added, taking a dig at the saffron party over the collapse of the makeshift tent at a rally held by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Midnapore this week. Nearly 90 people were reported to have been injured in the accident.

“Their days in power are numbered,” she said, brushing away the NDA government’s victory in the no-confidence motion at the Lok Sabha. “During the no-trust vote, the NDA got 325 votes. But in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, they will win less than 100 seats in the Parliament.”

BJP will suffer humiliating defeats Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar and Rajasthan Banerjee predicted.
