Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva reckons that teammate Sergio Aguero could surpass the record 260 goals scored by the legendary Alan Shearer to become the best ever striker in Premier League.

Aguero netted his 148th Premier League in his career as Manchester City strolled past 2-0 in Saturday and in doing so equal on goals with Newcastle legend Alan Shearer.
The Argentine forward along with Shearer are now third in the list of highest goal-scorers for a single club after Thierry Henry ( 175, Arsenal), and Wayne Rooney (183, Manchester United).
But Aguero could go past those numbers but he has to sign a contract extension at the Etihad. He recently signed a deal till 2021.
“Sergio is the best scorer in Manchester City’s history,” Silva, as quoted by Deccan Chronicle said.
“He’s a legend not only for Manchester City but also for the Premier League if not the best striker in the world then one of the best.
“It’s great to have him with us. Every season he scores 30 goals or more. To have a player like him it helps us so much.”
“Everyone hopes he stays,” he added.

The Spaniard further added, “If he reaches that level it will be even better because everyone knows how important Alan Shearer was for English football and for the Premier League.
“I think he can reach it (the record). He’s got the potential. Every season he keeps scoring more and more. We hope he can keep helping us win more titles here in Manchester.”
The defending Premier League champions to move to the top of the Premier League on goal difference through their victory. Their move up to the top was further aided by Liverpool who dropped points against Chelsea in their 1-1 at Stamford Bridge.
City next meet Jurgen Klopp’s side on Sunday at the Anfield.
