Kisan agitation marks the completion of four months. Farmers across India have been protesting against the newly introduced three Farm Bills. The Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) which is known to be a face of farmers unions has urged the protestors and supporters to observe the Bharat Band. This farmers union body has urged netizens to make this one a successful move. As per a report by news agency PTI, SKM has called for a Bharat Bandh on March 26 from 6 am to 6 pm. Thus the basic services are expected to be affected during the protest hours.
It is learned that the basic services such as Milk and vegetable supplies to be affected highly owing to the Bharat Band. During this bandh only ambulance, health services and emergency services of the army will be exempted. Talking about Bharat Band, the Farmer leader Darshan Pal apparently said that, “We appeal to the people of the country to make this Bharat Bandh a success and respect their Annadata”.
Another Farmer leader Buta Singh Burjgill had earlier said, “We will observe a complete Bharat bandh on March 26, when our protest against the three farm laws completes four months. The peaceful bandh will remain effective from morning till evening.” The farmers also plan to burn copies of the new farm laws during ‘Holika Dahan’ on March 28.
