Bheeshma Remake: Ranbir Kapoor to play lead in Hindi version of Bheeshma?

Days after reports doing the rounds on social media that Karan Johar will make a Hindi version of Vijay Deverakonda’s flop movie, World Famous Lover, there are reports making rounds social media that Karan Johar will also remake Nithin and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Bheeshma in Hindi.

Directed by Venky Kudumula, Bheeshma released in February this year and it turned out a commercial success around Telugu speaking states. According to reports, Hindi remake rights of Bheeshma have been in demand.

If anything to go by a report published in Telugu news portal, Karan Johar has bagged the Hindi remake rights of Bheeshma. As per the media reports, Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor will be reprising the role of Nithin in Bheeshma Hindi remake while the name of the female lead is yet to be revealed. However, the official announcement regarding the cast of Bheeshma remake is yet to be made.

Karan Johar is currently producing Fighter starring Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday in the lead roles.

On the work front, Ranbir Kapoor is currently busy in his much-awaited flick Shamshera starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor, which is produced by Aditya Chopra’s Yash Raj Films. Directed by Karan Malhotra, Shamsheera is about a dacoit tribe who took charge in the fight for their rights and independence against the British.

Ranbir Kapoor is playing double role as central character Shamshera and his father.
