Bigg Boss 15: Viacom18 to launch season 15 on OTT platform first 

Owing to the pandemic Coronavirus outspread, the digital space witnessed a boom like never before. TV-town’s most controversial show, Bigg Boss season 15 has already set the internet on buzz mode. According to the latest reports, the makers plan to launch this new season on the OTT platform, Voot first before launching it on the channel. Bigg Boss OTT to be premiered in August month.

Apparently, viewers will get to watch one-hour special episodes of Bigg Boss season 15 alongside some exclusive cuts, round-the-clock content drops and a fully interactive 24×7 live feed from the Bigg Boss house, the company stated in a media statement. This digital-first move has been taken considering the changing times of content consumerism and engagement.

“Unleashing its fandom and immense consumption power on digital, Bigg Boss has garnered significant patronage of brands and advertisers who continue to engage with the iconic property, season after season, making it India’s leading entertainment property – both on television and digital,” stated Viacom18 in its statement.

Viacom18 Digital Ventures’ Chief Operating Officer, Gourav Rakshit, said, “Voot has grown to become home to entertainment in India through industry-leading engagement and share-worthy content across originals, international, catch up and content-around-content segments.”

Bigg Boss season 14 winner was Rubina Dilaik. The list of contestants for the upcoming season is yet to be revealed.
