In his petition, Sudhan stated that the housemates wear revealing costumes and speak adult content which is detrimental to the youth. He also urged that Bigg Boss Tamil should not be allowed to go on air without a censor certificated from the Indian Broadcasting Foundation (IBF).

Notably, the petition has been admitted by Madras High Court and the hearing is likely to be held on Wednesday. The court will decide whether the show will be aired or not.

The petition has been admitted and a hearing will be held soon which puts a question mark over whether the show will begin on June 23rd as announced or will the court grant a ban on it. We will have to wait and see if Kamal will indeed make a grand entry with the famous ‘Bigg Boss’ theme this coming weekend.

The petitioner reminded that IBF’s rules expressly prohibit sex, obscenity and also indecent degrading, derogatory content. However, several national television channels across the country were least bothered about the rules, he submitted.

“Particularly, Bigg Boss show hosted by actor Kamal Haasan is being telecast with abusive content only with the view to increase the TRP ratings and get monetary benefits without any social responsibility,” Suthan submitted.

Suthan also pointed out that films which were made on huge budgets were allowed to be screened only after getting clearance from the censor board, the petitioner pointing out at Bigg Boss and said that such content telecast on national television channels did not go through any scrutiny.

The petitioner also claimed that elders and parents were embarrassed and worried as children keen to watch such kind of shows. He demanded that such kinds of a television show should not telecast without getting clearance from the censor board

The third season of Bigg Boss in Tamil is all set to go on air on 23 June.
