Jan Andolan for COVID-19: Salman Khan to Kangana Ranaut; B-Town celebs support PM Modi’s campaign

In view of upcoming festivals, the winter season, and opening up of the economy, Prime Minister, Narendra Modi launched the ‘Jan Andolan’ campaign, on Thursday. PM Modi also appealed to people to follow the social distancing norms and expressed confidence that the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic will be won.

Taking to his social media, PM Narendra Modi announced the campaign and tweeted as: “Let us #Unite2FightCorona! Let us always remember: Wear a mask. Wash hands. Follow social distancing. Practice ‘Do Gaj Ki Doori.’ Together, we will succeed. Together, we will win against COVID-19.”

Along with citizens, many Bollywood celebrities, including Salman Khan, Kangana Ranaut, and many others extended their support through social media to PM Modi’s campaign and urged their fans and followers to follow preventive measures to fight the pandemic.

Today, India reported 78,524 new cases and 971 deaths in the last 24 hours, the Covid-19 tally past the 68-lakh mark on Thursday, as per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW).
