Boney Kapoor & Dimple Kapadia To Play Ranbir Kapoor’s Parents In Luv Ranjan’s Next?

On Saturday, Shraddha Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor were seen together at Mumbai airport as they were seen heading off to New Delhi to kick start their film with director Luv Ranjan. Now, as per the latest reports, Boney Kapoor & Dimple Kapadia will be essaying the role of Ranbir’s parents in the film.

According to a report in the Times Of India, Boney recently made his acting debut in an Anil Kapoor and Anurag Kashyap starrer, ‘Ak Vs Ak’ and this would be his second one. The writers wanted Boney to play Ranbir’s dad as the character is a rich and confident guy and he would fit the part. “Boney was their reference point. While the filmmaker had refused the offer, Luv persisted. He asked Arjun Kapoor to convince him and the actor promptly reached out to him, and also got Anshula, Janhvi, and Khushi to do the convincing. Eventually, Boney gave in.”

The report further states that Boney Kapoor will reportedly reach the sets of the movie on Monday, January 11. Earlier, the romantic comedy was supposed to begin shooting in Spain however, that didn’t happen owing to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The film is produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg under their banner Luv Films.

On the work front, Shraddha will be seen as a naagin, a shape-shifting snake, in a new film trilogy to be directed by filmmaker Vishal Furia, whereas, Ranbir will be seen next in Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra’ which also stars his girlfriend-actor, Alia Bhatt.
