BTS Album Love Yourself: Answer Makes History By Going Gold In The UK

The BTS boys are already working on their new album after the successful release of Map of the Soul: 7. However, fans are still showing their immense love for the old BTS albums. In fact, Love Yourself: Answer, which was released in 2018, has become the first BTS album to be certified gold in the United Kingdom. This makes BTS the first Korean artist to achieve gold certification from the BRIT awards.

It was announced earlier that Love Yourself: Answer has achieved gold BRIT certification. It was also the first album to go silver in the United Kingdom in May 2019. A gold award is given to albums that have reached 100,000 units in sales.

BTS now has one gold album and three silver albums (Map of the Soul: 7, Map of the Soul: Perona and Love Yourself: Tear). In addition, they also have one silver single, Boy with Luv, which also features American pop singer Halsey.

Love Yourself: Answer was released in August 2018. It climbed up to No. 14 in the UK where it tied with another BTS album Love Yourself: Her. The lead single Idol went up to No 21 and helped BTS reach global audiences.

BTS is also gearing up to celebrate its 7th debut anniversary this coming June. To commemorate the occasion, the group will be conducting a concert titled BANG BANG CON The Live on June 14. The concert will begin from 6 PM KST via pay-per-view streaming on Weverse.

In addition, BTS fans will be glad to know that the band is already working on new music. Moreover, BTS member Suga just recorded a single with K-Pop singer IU.
