CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 CANCELLATION: Union Minister Pokhriyal would take final decision
Amidst the surging cases of Coronavirus in India, Union Education Minister, Pokhriyal would take the final decision on the cancellation of the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 today
India is currently dealing with the Coronavirus-led crises. Since last month (April) the fresh cases peaked its all-time highest with more than 4 lakh cases. However for a few days now the positivity rate has shown a down surge. Amidst the surging cases of COVID-19, the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 was kept on hold. The Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank holds a virtual meeting on Monday i.e May 17 according to the latest reports. He will discuss with few prominent senior officials about the cancellation of the board exams this year.
The news agency, ANI reported that “Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank will meet virtually all state education secretaries on Monday. The top agenda of the meeting will be COVID -19 pandemic and its impact on education, promotion of online education, implementation of the New Education policy and preparation made by states.”

For the unversed, the Ministry of Education and CBSE had earlier refuted the reports of considering canceling the board examinations this year. It was stated through an official statement that the discussions regarding the same were underway and no such decision about the cancellation.
