Citadel: Priyanka Chopra & Richard Madden in Russo Brothers Amazon Series

Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden are set to headline Citadel. It is an upcoming global thriller multi-series for Amazon Studios. The Russo Brothers: Anthony and Joseph who co-directed Endgame and Infinity War, will direct Priyanka and Richard in Citadel. The announcement was made Tuesday at the Television Critics Association winter press tour.

An elated Priyanka took to Twitter to announce the good news. She wrote, “Cannot wait to work with the talented @_richardmadden and incredible @Russo_Brothers on CITADEL… A multi-layered global franchise with interconnected local language productions from India, Italy and Mexico. It will truly be global content. More soon. @AmazonStudios @AGBOfilms,”

Amazon also announced that a local language production of the franchise will originate from Mexico, in addition to the previously announced versions in Italy and India. Madden and Chopra will star in the U.S edition of the series.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas recently starred in and co-produced ‘The Sky Is Pink’. She will soon be seen in Robert Rodriguez’s Netflix movie ‘We Can Be Heroes’, as well as the streamer’s adaptation of the acclaimed novel ‘The White Tiger’. She is also developing an untitled Indian wedding comedy with Mindy Kaling and Dan Goor for Universal, which she will co-produce and star in.

Madden was last seen in Game of Thrones and the BBC-Netflix series Bodyguard. He recently starred opposite Taron Egerton in Rocketman, and he’s currently filming Chloe Zhao‘s Marvel movie Eternals.
