Yami Gautam and Dilji Dosanjh Roped in For Ramesh Taurani’s Next Comedy Film

Diljit Dosanjh, who has worked in several Punjabi movies is making all possible effort to establish himself in Bollywood. Dosanjh has already made his Hindi film debut with Abhishek Chaubey’s Udta Punjab in 2016. According to the latest reports, Diljit Dosanjh has been roped in for Ramesh Taurani’s yet-untitled comedy film, which will have Yami Gautam as a lead actress.

The film will mark the directorial debut of Aziz Mirza’s son Haroon, who had earlier assisted his father on Shah Rukh Khan-starrers, from Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman and Yes Boss to the Amol Palekar-directed Paheli.

According to Mumbai Mirror,  Dosanjh and Yami Gautam, who was seen in Uri: The Surgical Strike have already given their nod to the movie. It is to be noted that Gautam made her Bollywood debut with Vicky Donor in 2012 has established her name as an actor and celebrity endorser for brand and products.

Gautam is currently busy shooting for her upcoming film Bala with Ayushamann Khurana and Bhumi Pednekar. Confirming the news Taurani says, “Yes, Diljit and Yami have given their nod to the film. It’s a fresh pairing and we are excited because both are competent actors with impeccable comic timing. It is a sensible comedy and revolves around a couple.”

According to the report published in Mumbai Mirror, producer of the film are currently scouting for new faces as they require another teenage twosome. “We also need another actress who has a crucial role to play in the narrative. The casting should be locked soon,” Taurani said.

Notably, this yet untitled film is among the several films penned by Hera Pheria writer Neeraj Vora, who unfortunately died in 2017. “It’s an interesting story, we will be meeting soon for readings before we roll in August,” Taurani added.
