Earlier, the actress shared an old picture with LK Advani and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

For the unversed, Dipika Chikhlia stepped into politics in the early 90s. She won the Lok Sabha elections from Baroda constituency in 1991 as a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate. Dipika appeared in many movies and serials but with the character of Sita, she became a household name and rose to fame.
She was out of showbiz for a long time. In 2019, she made her comeback with Ayushmann Khurrana and Yami Gautam starrer Bala where she played Yami’s on-screen mother.
