Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp Down : Users share complaints on Twitter

Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp users complained about facing technical issues while using these applications. Know what happed during the massive down time

Mark Zuckerberg’s tech giant Facebook also owns WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook Messenger apps. Users from these respective applications couldn’t share messages or posts due to the unexpected down time on Friday. The Android, iOS as well as PC users complained about not being able to refresh the content on their timeline. Netizens took to Twitter and reported about facing these technical issues.

Particularly it is being said that Instagram and Facebook users were unable to update their news feed, while WhatsApp users were unable to send or receive messages. According to the tracking website-DownDetector somewhere around 38,000 people from all across the globe faced the downtime. Within the period of 1hr (around 10. 30pm -11.50pm) apparently around 30,000 and 1,600 reports have been registered on Instagram and WhatsApp respectively.

The reason for the down time has not been officially cleared to the users, as there’s no official statement issued by the brand as of yet.

For the unversed, Facebook services were last down in December 2020.
