For the second time in two Test matches, Indian skipper Virat Kohli has become the point of attraction for young fans, who, in their attempt to show their admiration for the skipper, came running all the way from the stands, breached the security cordon and into the field where they, almost got to fulfil their wish.
Fans getting past the security of a stadium isn’t something new as a spectator, came running into the field made attempts to unsuccessfully hug the captain and even ‘selfies’ with him.
The incident took place early into the morning session when a man climbed a barricade and ran about a distance of 70 metres into the ground before trying to hug the Indian captain and attempting to click his photo.
The captain, in response, was seen trying his best to avoid the man from hugging him as the security came into his rescue, taking away the man.
India have been defied the by West Indies in the second Test match by a strong-willed Roston Chase, who came up with a gritty 98* as the West Indies recovered from an initial slump to post 295/7 at the close of the day’s play at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
