Gangubai Kathiawadi: Katrina Kaif’s special dance number in Alia Bhatt starrer?

Alia Bhatt and Salman Khan were all set to collaborate for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Inshallah’. But the project was shelved for reasons unknown. Soon a new project was launched by Bhansali with Alia Bhatt in the leading role. The Kalank star will be seen in Gangubai Kathiawadi playing the role of a brother owner.

Recently Katrina Kaif was seen outside Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s office in Mumbai. Soon rumours abounded that the actress is being considered for Bhansali’s movie.

As per reports in Mumbai Mirror, Katrina is in talks with Bhansali for a special dance number in Gangubai Kathiawadi. The tabloid revealed that like every SLB movie this song sequence will be shot in a lavishly-mounted set. Moreover, Katrina is likely to start shooting for the song within fortnights.

Recently Alia too had visited Katrina Kaif at her abode looks like the good friends were perhaps discussing the film.

Gangubai Kathiawadi is inspired by a chapter from the book ‘Mafia Queens Of Mumbai’. As per which Gangubai was pushed into prostitution at a very young age and became the most influential pimp from the red light areas, Kamathipura in Mumbai. The film is set to hit the screens on 11th September 2020.

On the work front, Katrina Kaif is gearing for the release of ‘Sooryavanshi’. The Rohit Shetty cop drama features Akshay Kumar in the titular role. It is set to release on March 24. Alia on the other hand also has Takht, Sadak 2 in her kitty.
