Gangubai Kathiawadi: Alia Bhatt announces RELEASE date with new poster

Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi’ is one of the most-anticipated films of the year and fans are eagerly waiting to see a glimpse of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s first teaser. Ahead of the film’s teaser, Alia shared a new and intriguing poster and announced the RELEASE date of the film. It is slated to release on July 30, 2021.

The Bhansali Productions handle shared the official poster which features Alia, sharing the release date, the page wrote as: “Fiery and feisty, she’s ready to reign! Alia also shared the official poster of the film on her social media handle and wrote as: “in cinemas 30th July, #GangubaiKathiawadi #SanjayLeelaBhansali @prerna982 @jayantilalgada @PenMovies @bhansali_produc”

In the poster, the ‘Kalank’ actress is seen donning green ethnic attire with long braided hair and is seen sitting comfortably upon the throne. Reportedly, Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi, and Huma Qureshi will also have their cameo performances in the film.

‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ is set to clash with Prabhas-starrer Radhe Shyam as it will also arrive in cinemas on July 30, 2021.

The film is a biographical crime based on a chapter of Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai about Gangubai Kothewali, the madam of a brothel in Kamathipura. The movie will also star Shantanu Maheshwari, Vijay Raaz, and Seema Pahwa in pivotal roles.
