The nomination for the 77th Golden Globe Awards are being announced today (9th December). The Golden Globe Awards 2020 nomination comes from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), which is comprising of 90 journalists belonging to different parts of the world. According to reports, Golden Globe film contenders include top Oscar prospects “Marriage Story,” “The Irishman,” and “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.” Talking about TV side, Emmy winners “Game of Thrones” and “Fleabag” are once again in the mix, as are “Succession” and “Big Little Lies.”

The Golden Globes awarded “Bohemian Rhapsody” (Drama) and “Green Book” (Musical/Comedy) with its top two film prizes in 2019. The Green Book has also won the Oscar for Best Picture. According to reports, the top TV prizes have also won “The Americans” and “The Kominsky Method.”

Notably, the Golden Globes 2020 will be hosted by none other than Ricky Gervais. The awards ceremony is likely to take place on 5th January 2020.
