Hasin Jahan, Mohammed Shami’s estranged wife joins Congress

The estranged wife of Mohammed Shami, Hasin Jahan on Tuesday joined the Congress Party in Mumbai. The official Twitter handle of Mumbai Congress posted a photo of Mumbai Congress president Sanjay Nirupam welcoming her in the party.

The alienated wife of Mohammed Shami seemed to be happy to join Congress party. Hasin Jahan, a model by profession made headlines earlier this year after accusing her husband of series of allegations, including adultery, domestic violence and match-fixing.

After making allegations against cricketer husband, the BCCI had decided to withhold Shami’s contract. While the cricketer denied all the allegations. Jahan claimed that the Shami received money from a Pakistani woman for fixing matches for India. However, BCCI later gave a clean chit to Shami.

Later, Jahan had shared screenshots of Shami’s conversations as well as telephone recordings, accusing Shami of having extra-marital affairs. She also accused Shami and his family of domestic violence, adding that they even tried to kill her.

She also alleged that Shami has relations with women from Bengaluru, Pune, Indore, Nagpur and claimed that the 28-year old went to meet a woman in Dubai after the South Africa tour.

Calling Shami a flirt, she claimed that he wanted to marry a Bollywood actress like Virat Kohli did.

The 38-year-old model married Shami on 6 June 2014. The couple was blessed with a girl child, Airah Shami in July 2015. Everything in their married life was okay until Shami returned from South Africa tour earlier this year. Things took and ugly turn when Jahan decided to come out to the media and speak about domestic violence that the cricketer was subjecting her to.
