The Indian Cricket team tasted victory over Pakistan again. The Indian cricket team had a wonderous win in spite of the recurring rains in England.

The Pakistani Team won the toss and chose to Bowl first. The Indian Team took the benefit of the situation and set a target that somehow was unreachable for the rival team. The recurring rains were much of a spoilsport and thus the final winner was decided by the Duckworth–Lewis–Stern method aka DLS method. The target which was initially of 336 runs was brought down to 302 because of the rains and was in accordance with considering 40 overs. The Indian Cricket team still won by 89 runs.
For India, more than the real world cup, winning matches against Pakistan is very much important.

This victory was very important for going back at the Pakistani team after their insult at the Indian Air force Pilot Abhinandan who was held captive. They had made an advertisement mocking him. But now we know that whether the final cup is ours or not, it is not going to Pakistan no matter what.
India has won all the matches which have taken place as of yet except that match against NewZealand which did not take place because of the rains.
