India to host West Indies for two Tests, five ODIs and three T20Is

Before they leave for Australia in November, India would host the West Indies for two Tests, five ODIs and three T20 Internationals, beginning from October 4 according to the schedule announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India on Tuesday.

The home series against the West Indies would begin just after a week of the Asia Cup.

“The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) announce the schedule for the forthcoming home series against West Indies set to be played from October 4 to November 11, 2018. India will play 2 Tests, 5 ODIs & 3 T20Is during this tenure,” Amitabh Chaudhary, the secretary of the BCCI said according to a release.

Rajkot would be the venue for the first Test match which gets underway on October 4. The second Test match is to be played in Hyderabad starting from October 12. The ODI series comprising of five matches would start from October 21 and would end with the last 50-over game being played in Thiruvananthapuram on November 1.

The World T20 champions would then kick-off the T20I series against India starting from November 4. The other two matches will be played on November 6 and 11.

Test series:
1st Test:  Rajkot (4-8 October)
2nd Test: Hyderabad (12-16 October)

ODI series:
1st ODI:  Guwahati (21st October)
2nd ODI:  Indore (24th October)
3rd ODI:  Pune (27th October)
4th ODI:  Mumbai (29th October)
5th ODI: Thiruvananthapuram (1st November)

T20I series:
1st T20I:  Kolkata (4th November)
2nd T20I:  Lucknow (6th November)
3rd T20I:  Chennai (11th November)
