Angrezi Medium: Irrfan Khan & Cinematographer Play Cricket On Set In Rajasthan

Angrezi Medium — a sequel of Bollywood movie, Hindi Medium — has been in the news since it was announced. In order to create more hype, director of the film Homi Adajania has been sharing pictures and videos from the sets of Angrezi Medium. Adajania has just shared a picture of Irrfan Khan and the cinematographer of the film playing cricket on the sets in Rajasthan and it looks like, director is waiting to resume the shooting.

In the picture, Irrfan Khan can be seen batting while the Cinematographer turns wicketkeeper. Homi took to Instagram and shared the picture and wrote, “Can we shoot please?” and added two emojis. The film Angrezi Medium also features Radhika Madan as the daughter of Irrfan.

Earlier there were reports doing the rounds stating that Kareena Kapoor Khan will be seen as a police officer in Angrezi Medium. Confirming the news Dinesh Vijan told IANS, “I’m excited that she’s going to be a part of it. We wanted to introduce this character who would be taken forward in the franchises to come, and she’s perfect for it. Here, she plays a cop – a role she’s actually never done before. We will be shooting in London this June, and it will be great to be back on set with her.”

Previously, Irfaan shared a collage of hilarious conversation between him and Homi while enjoying their sugarcane. The conversation read, “Irrfan: Been shooting for weeks… can we discuss the character now? Homi: Tu ganna choos… Let me make the film. Irrfan: Can somebody please call the Director?!”.

The film also stars Pankaj Tripathi and Deepak Dobriyal in pivotal roles. Pankaj had earlier shared about his role and said in a statement, “It’s a cameo appearance. It’s my love and respect for Irrfan and my friendship with Dinu (Dinesh) that made me say yes to it. I always wanted to work with Irrfan and when Dinu offered me this role, I immediately agreed even if it’s just a cameo role”.

Angrezi Medium would be the first film in which Irrfan and Kareena will be seen sharing the silver screen together.  Produced by Dinesh Vijan and directed by Homi Adajania, Angrezi Medium will be released in 2020.
