Johnny Depp claims Hollywood is boycotting him because of Amber Heard drama

Johnny Depp and his estranged wife, Amber Heard has been making headlines over their uneasy separation. The two are involved in legal fight for separation. While the actor legally seeks separation from his estranged- wife, he confesses about feeling being left out in the industry. He reveals feeling being boycotted by Hollywood industry amidst his legal battle his estranged wife. He calls it an ‘absurdity of media mathematics.”

For the unversed, Depp was reportedly involved in a legal case against British Tabloid for allegedly referring him as “wife-beater” in one of the article, due to which MGM reportedly shelved the release of Depp’s upcoming film helmed by Andrew Levitas. In a recent interview with The Sunday Times, Depp was spilling the beans on Minamata. He also speaks about the experience he had during his fallout from the Hollywood.

The actor said, “looked those people in the eyeballs and promised we would not be exploitative. That the film would be respectful. I believe that we’ve kept our end of the bargain, but those who came in later should also maintain theirs. Some films touch people and this affects those in Minamata and people who experience similar things. And for anything … for Hollywood’s boycott of me? One man, one actor in an unpleasant and messy situation, over the last number of years?”

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard apparently first met in 2009 on the set of The Rum Diary, wherein they were starred together. They got hitched in 2015 in a private ceremony. Heard filed for divorce a year later and she alleged him of domestic abuse. The two of them have been involved in a legal battle over separation.
