Addressing the press conference, Dilip Ghosh said, “We are amazed by the current situation of West Bengal. Everywhere in the state there are TMC offices. There is a tendency in TMC to blame BJP-RSS for everything.” He added, “The leaders (TMC) are accusing us (BJP-RSS) for the blast, but they themselves have connections with the naxals. The government should resign if they cannot run the state, we (BJP) will take care if the welfare and security of the people.”

Ghosh was reacting to the allegations by TMC leader and West Bengal minister Purnendu Basu. Basu had said, “I think this type of blast is similar to the ones carried out by RSS elsewhere.” Basu had also alleged that BJP-RSS is promoting violence in the state and this is not the first time that the people have suffered.

Another TMC leader who reached at the spot said that the party is taking care of the bereaved family and will do everything to help the people of the vicinity. Among the people succumbed to injuries include seven-year-old child Bibhas Ghosh, while another victim — fruit shop owner Ajit Halder  — is critical. Eight injured people are being taken to R G Kar Medical College and their treatment is underway.

According to the latest reports from the correspondent, Bibhas’s mother had too suffered 30 percent burn injuries and being treated. Other too have been injured and suffered injuries.
