Manmadhu 2: Hindi Dubbing Rights Sold, Netflix Acquires Rights For Rs 7.4 Cr

Telugu superstar Akkineni Nagarjuna and Rajul Preet Starrer Manmadhu 2 seems to have earned a decent amount even before the film hits the theatres. Directed by Rahul Ravindran, Manmadhu 2 has been in the news ever since its first poster was unveiled. The makers of Manmadhu 2, which is a sequel to the blockbuster film Manmadhu, have reportedly sold the Hindi dubbing rights for a whopping Rs 6.1 crores.

Apart from Hindi dubbing rights of Manmadhu 2, Netflix has acquired Nagarjuna and Rakul Preet starrer for Rs 7.40 crores. The film is scheduled to release on 9th August 2019, but it has already started a pre-release business and it is record-breaking.

It would be for the first time Rakul Preet and Akkineni Nagarjuna will be seen sharing the screen space together.  The first part of Manmadhudu was directed by Vijaya Bhaskar whereas its story, screenplay and dialogues were written by the ace director Trivikram Srinivas.

The director of Manmadhudu 2, Rahul Ravindran has earlier helmed Telugu romantic drama Chi La Sow, which was bankrolled by Akkineni Nagarjuna under the banner of Annapurna Studios. The first single of the film titled ‘Hey Menina’ featuring Nagarjuna and Rakul Preet was released recently and it has received rave reviews.

The trailer of Manmadhu 2 is scheduled to release on July 25. Apart from Rakul Preet and Nagarjuna, the film features Keerthy Suresh, Samantha Akkineni and Akshara Gowda in extended cameo appearances. According to the teasers, Rakul will be seen playing a free-spirited girl named Avantika, while superstar Naga will be playing a very different role than anything he has done before.

Meanwhile, Nagarjuna is currently busy hosting Bigg Boss Telugu season 3.
