This Video of Newly Elected MPs Mimi Chakraborty and Nusrat Jahan Goes Viral

The video of newly elected Member of Parliaments Mimi Chakraborty and Nusrat Jahan shaking their legs to catchy tune has gone viral on the internet. Yes, these two personalities are elected MPs of Mamata Banerji’s party. These Bengali actors-turned-politicians contested the recently concluded Lok Sabha election from Bengal and won by huge margins.

Both Mimi Chakraborty and Nusrat Jahan have already paid their first visit to the Parliament but their visit seems to be disliked by a few citizens as they sported western attire. Mimi had contested from Jadavpur in Lok Sabha elections posted a photo of her wearing a white shirt and pair of denim.

Nusrat Jahan, who had contested from Basirhat donned a wine coloured fitted ensemble and pair of pants with a peplum zipped top during her first visit to Parliament. Unlike other women politician, these two actors-turned-politicians did not wear Saris and Salwar suit which did not go down well with the netizens and they trolled them.

One social media user commented: “Parliament is not a photo studio”, while another user slammed Mimi saying “she is not suitable for the position”.

Another commented which reads: “You should wear some Indian attire in Parliament. You are going for people not for movie promotions. And keep some respect towards your Bengali society.”

After stunning pictures of Mimi Chakraborty and Nusrat Jahan, now a video of them dancing on a beautiful tune has gone viral. The video was shared by none other than filmmaker Ram Gopal Verma. Sharing the video, he wrote on Twitter: “Wow Wow Wow!!! New MPs from Bengal.. Mimi Chakraborty & Nusrat Jahaan_India is really really progressing ..it’s a welcome relief to see MP’s who are so easy on the eye ???”
