Google releases list of top 10 most searched celebrities in 2018

You must remember the personalities who made headlines in 2018 but now people are rarely talking about them. But, do you remember Priya Prakash Varrier, who shot to fame and became an overnight sensation through her wink in a song, which had gone viral on social media, is one of the most searched celebrities in 2018.
Google has released a list of 10 most searched celebrities in 2018. You would not believe that this list does not only include celebrities from India but overseas as well.

1. Priya Prakash Varrier:
Teenage girl, Priya Varrier, who made everyone love her via her sheer talent and broke the internet and made hundreds of headlines. A song of her went viral, in which Priya was seen flirting with her classmate stunned a mass audience with her wink.
It’s been 10 months since her video surfaced, but Priya Prakash has managed to rule the Google search engine and dethroned Bollywood actress Sunny Leone, who topped the list of most searched celebrities in 2017.
Notably, Priya is the first and only Indian celebrity and third celebrity across the world who gained over 6 lakh followers in 24 hours.
2. Nick Jonas:
American singer Nick Jonas, who recently got married to Bollywood actress Priyanka Chora in Rajasthan’s Umaid Bhawan Palace on December 2 has been ranked number 2 in Google’s most searched list in 2018.
The couple has also hosted the first of their wedding reception in Delhi that was not only attended by their family, politicians, and industrialists but India Prime Minister Narendra Modi too graced the occasion.

3. Sapna Choudhary:
You must be aware of Sapna Chaudhary, a popular dancer, singer and stage performer hailing from Haryana. Chaudhary started her career when she was quite young aiming to support her family.
Sapna Chaudhary’s sheer talent soon achieved fame. She has also appeared in Bigg Boss, one of the most talked reality television show in India. Her videos go viral in no time. Notably, in the year 2018, Sapna even performed at a couple of Bollywood movies, item numbers, which include Veere Di Wedding.
Sapna has been ranked number 3 in the list.
4. Priyanka Chopra:
The wife of Nick Jonas and Bollywood actress has always been making a headlines for her busy schedule and beautiful photos. In 2018, PeCee has made headlines due to her relationship with American singer whom she recently got married in Jodhpur.
Post the marriage, the couple headed for a quick honeymoon to Oman and returned to India to attend the wedding of Asia’s richest man Mukesh Ambani’s daughter Isha Ambani, who tied the knot with Anand Piramal on December 12. PeCee is said to be a BFF of Isha Ambani and hence she made her appearance at the wedding which took place at Antilla, Mumbai.
5. Anand Ahuja:
You may not know him because he is not a Bollywood actor but he is a businessman and tied the knot with Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor and became the son-in-law of evergreen Anil Kapoor. Ahuja and Kapoor got married in May 2018.
Ahuja lives in Delhi who runs a fashion label named Bhane, which has a showroom in New Delhi’s upscale Meherchand Market. It would not be an exaggeration, Ahuja is more known as Sonam Kapoor’s husband rather than a businessman.
6. Sara Ali Khan:
Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s daughter Sara Ali Khan, who made her Bollywood debut with Kedarnath in 2018 opposite Sushant Singh Rajput, is all set to entertain the audience with Rohit Shetty’s upcoming movie Simmba.

There is no doubt Salman Khan is one of the highest paid Bollywood actors, according to Forbes’ annual list this year. Do you know, this was not the first time but third time in succession that Salman Khan has achieved the feat.
Bhai had one movie in 2018 titled Race 3, a multi-star movie, which did not perform well at the box office collection as his earlier movie did. He also launched his brother-in-law and Arpita Khan’s husband Aayush Sharma in Loveyatri, which also failed to entertain people on the silver screen.
8. Meghan Markle:
A retired American actress, Meghan Markle has officially become the member of the Royal family after getting married to Prince Harry in May 2018. The royal wedding was attended by David Beckham, George Clooney and Priyanka Chopra and several others.
The wife of Prince Harry is popularly known for her role as Rachel Zane in the legal drama series Suits. The google has put her at number 8 in the list of most searched celebrities in 2018.
Prior to getting married to Harry, Markle was married to actor and producer Trevor Engelson.
9. Anup Jalota:
Anup Jalota, a popular Bhajan singer, who performs Hindu devotional music, and Urdu form of poetry, ghazal. Jalota is widely regarded by his followers as the ‘Bhajan Samraat’, was also a Big Boss contestant in 2018.
There were reports stating that Jalota was dating Jasleen Matharu, who is just 28-year-old. Their 37-year age-gap undoubtedly raised the TRPs but also attracted a lot of trolling on social media. Later, both Jasleen and Anup were evicted from the BB12 house but they continued to make the headlines. According to Google, top 10 most searched celebrities list, Anup Jalot is at number 9.
10. Boney Kapoor:
Boney Kapoor, a film producer and a husband of late Bollywood actress Sridevi, has produced a number of films including Mr India, Not Entry and Judaai.
It is to be noted that Boney Kapoor, is the eldest sibling among his actor brothers Anil Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor. After the sudden demise of his wife in February 2018, Boney Kapoor and his daughters, Jahnvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor hogged limelight across all the television channels.
This might make him responsible for having figured in the list of most searched celebrities in 2018.
