Such has been the aura of Virat Kohli that everything he does draws the attention of the entire country. And so, how couldn’t it allure people from different sectors when the Indian skipper achieved one of the biggest milestones of his cricketing career – 10,000 ODI runs.

Kohli did not just become one of the only 13 cricketers to have completed 10,000 or more runs in ODI cricketers but he did it in style by becoming the fastest batsman to reach the milestone. The entire world reacted to his achievement, congratulating the 29-year-old for his record-breaking achievement.

With the entire universe reacting, how could the ever so vigilant Mumbai Police be left behind. They joined in the celebrations and wished King Kohli for his achievement but in their own style.

Meanwhile, Kohli took just 205 innings to complete 10,000 ODI runs, overtaking Sachin Tendulkar’s previous record of reaching the milestone in 259 innings.

He took a single off spinner Ashley Nurse to complete the milestone before registering his 37^th ODI century with a boundary off Marlon Samuels.

The India skipper went on to make 157 not out from 129 deliveries to complement his earlier 140 runs, which he scored in the first ODI in Guwahati.

India, however, failed to win the match – which was tied – with Shai Hope making a brilliant century and with help from Shimron Hetmyer (94) he helped West Indies draw the match. Five runs were needed off the last ball, which Hope smashed for a four to tie the match.
