Confirmed: Vivek Oberoi to play PM Narendra Modi in biopic

Talented Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi has not been seen much in Bollywood for the last two years. However, he has appeared in a few South Indian movies though. Now, Vivek Oberoi is all set to take the silver screens by storm. Notably, Vivek will be playing a titular lead role in PM Narendra Modi’s biopic.

In a tweet, noted film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the news on Twitter. “IT’S OFFICIAL… Vivekanand Oberoi [Vivek Oberoi] to star in Narendra Modi biopic, titled #PMNarendraModi… Directed by Omung Kumar… Produced by Sandip Ssingh… First look poster will be launched on 7 Jan 2019… Filming starts mid-Jan 2019,” he tweeted.

According to the reports, the biopic on PM Modi will be shot in different parts of the country like Gujarat (Modi’s hometown), Delhi, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. The biopic is produced by Sandip Singh and directed by ‘MC Mary Kom‘ director Omung Kumar.

The biopic based on PM Modi’s life has been titled as ‘PM Narendra Modi’ and the shooting will kickstart this month. The first look poster of the ambitious venture will be unveiled on January 7.

Interestingly, Bollywood’s venture into biopics has remained fruitful. In the past biopics like ‘Mary Kom’, ‘Dangal’, ‘Sanju’, ‘Gold’ and ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag‘ among others were well-received by the audience. This year too will witness some powerful biopics in like ‘Thackeray’, ‘Shakeela’ and many more.
