“I am glad to inaugurate the Nepal-Bharat Maitri Pashupati Dharamshala in Kathmandu,” Prime Minister Modi was quoted as saying by news agency PTI. The rest house was handed over to Pashupati Area Development Trust by the Indian Prime Minister.

Located on Bagmati river banks, the rest house has family rooms, dining hall, kitchen, library along with multipurpose halls. These are expected to match the requirements of the people travelling to Nepal’s Pashupatinath Temple.

“This is not just a building…The Nepal-Bharat Maitri Pashupati Dharamshala will remind the visitors about the friendship of the two neighbours,” Modi was quoted as saying in gathering by the agency.

Modi was particularly pleased with Nepal government’s call to late PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s poems. “I thank Prime Minister Oli and the Nepal Government for this touching gesture,” Modi said.

Nepal’s political stability is another thing that seemed to have impressed the Indian prime minister. He said that the Nepal government is working for the development of Nepal and its people.
