The first season was released in 2018 and since then millions of people have been desperately waiting for the official announcement of ‘Mirzapur 2’ release date. Now, Pankaj Tripathi aka Kaleen Bhaiya has shared an update on Mirzapur season 2.

Talking to Pinkvilla, in an exclusive interview, Pankaj Tripathi said, “Main toh apna kaam kar ke aage kar chukka hoon. Kyunki main bahut vyast rehta hoon na. Maine apni zimedaari niptali nikal chukka hoon aage. Main lambe outdoor pe jaata hoon (I have finished my share of work. I have had a packed schedule. So, I have completed my responsibilities and moved on because I have long outdoor schedules),” he shared.
When Pankaj Tripathi was asked about the release date of Mirzapur 2, he said, “Jis din mujhe pata chalega, sabse pehle main bata dunga (The day I find out, I will be the first one to announce it.)”
On the work front, apart from Mirzapur 2, Pankaj Tripathi will also be seen next in the sports drama film ’83’ and biopic film ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’
For the unversed, Mirzapur is a crime thriller web series. It is produced by Excel Entertainment and directed by Karan Anshuman and Gurmeet Singh. The story of Amazon Prime’s ‘Mirzapur’ web series revolves around drugs, guns, and lawlessness. It describes the putrescence, governance, and rule of mafia dons and the rivalry and crime prevailing in the Purvanchal region of Uttar Pradesh.
It is said that Mirzapur season 2 to release in 2020 but the exact release date is yet to be revealed by Amazon Prime Video.
