Payal Ghosh files an FIR against Anurag Kashyap; accuses of rape

Payal Ghosh filed an FIR against Anurag Kashyap at Versova police station on Tuesday evening.

A few days back, actress Payal Ghosh accused the filmmaker, Anurag Kashyap of sexual misconduct allegations. She also claimed that the filmmaker had forced himself onto her. On Tuesday evening, Ghosh filed an FIR against the ‘Gangs Of Wasseypur’ director at the Versova police station.

Confirming the same, Payal’s lawyer Nitin Satpute tweeted and wrote as, “Finally FIR has been lodged against Accused for the offence Rape, Wrongful Restrain, Wrongful Confinement and outraging modesty of woman U/S 376(1), 354, 341, 342 of IPC, @iampayalghosh @ANI @PTI_News @NCWIndia”

On Saturday, Ghosh spoke to ANI and claimed, “Five years ago I met Anurag Kashyap regarding work. He called me to his house. When I went there, he took me to a separate room and tried to sexually assault me. He forced himself on me.”

“I request the authorities to kindly take action and let the country see the demon behind this creative guy. Also aware that it can harm me and my security is at risk and am seeking action against him,” said Payal Ghosh.

Anurag Kashyap denied Payal’s claims are called it baseless’ and said: “I neither behave like this nor do I ever tolerate this at any price.” He also released a statement rubbishing all the allegations and called them ‘malicious and dishonest’.

B-town actress who worked with Anurag in the past, like, Richa Chadha, Huma Qureshi, Elnaaz Norouzi extended their support to him, his ex-wives Kalki Koechlin and Aarti Bajaj also came out in his support, whereas, Kangana Ranaut and Roopa Ganguly supported Payal.
