Muslims all over the globe are celebrating Eid. Yes, today marks the happy and auspicious celebrations of Eid-ul-Adha. This day is commemorated on the 10th or 12th in the month of Dhul Hijjah as per the Islamic calendar. It is celebrated to honour the sacrifice of Ibrahim, the Messenger who was willing to sacrifice his son as an act of respect just on God’s command. But before Ibrahim could sacrifice his son, God provided a lamb to sacrifice instead. And it’s because of the intervention of God that a goat is sacrificed each year.
